The Guthridge Lab is seeking a Research Technician for the Biorepository which supports our clinical and translational research investigators. Candidates should be highly organized, motivated and team oriented. Duties will include all repository activities related to receipt, processing, storage, maintenance and records management of human blood and tissue samples related to studies and clinical trials in a CAP (College of American Pathologists) certified facility. Individual will need to be comfortable working in cold temperatures with appropriate personal safety protections and working with human samples.
Bachelor's degree typically in one of the biological, chemical/biochemical sciences or equivalent years of professional, relevant laboratory experience.
Should have experience with lab techniques and using computers and databases. Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, organizational skills and strong work ethic. Must be professional, team oriented, and personable. Must be able to take direction, follow instructions and take meticulous records. Has an interest in helping in patient-oriented clinical research.
Typically, Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00 pm.
