The CoMMaND (Computational Mechanics of Morphology at Notre Dame) Lab Research
Scientist will focus on apply engineering and computational approaches to understand the role of mechanics in complex health-related issues. The position will be supported through funded projects and will be responsible for making progress on the proposed work via the following responsibilities:
Designing and conducting simulations and performing data analysis
Supervising and mentoring students and collaboration with other lab members to push forward project progress
Writing journal papers and preparing conference presentations
Please note that this is a 2-year limited-term position with possible renewal dependent upon funding.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or Bioengineering
3 – 4 years experience
Familiarity with user subroutines in Abaques, background in computational biomechanics, good communication skills
