Research Scientist IITNPRC - Pathology Location: Covington, LASummary The Research Scientist's primary responsibility is to conduct research on HIV-associated atherosclerosis projects and to utilize the universal cell ablation model for the study of cellular functionality in the pathogenesis of human diseases, such as multiple sclerosis; he/she will keep a lab journal, present research results to the research group and generate data to support the research objectives of the lab. The Research Scientist is also responsible for supervising and training other research laboratory staff, developing and implementing new techniques and communicating study results effectively.
Required Qualifications Doctorate degree in a Biological Science Five years of research experience in a relevant field or area of study Preferred Qualifications Work experience in an academic environment More than 5 years' professional research work experience
