The Lefkowitz lab studies the molecular and regulatory properties of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), also known as seven transmembrane spanning receptors (7TMRs). Current work in the lab focuses on understanding how GPCR cell signaling, by biased or unbiased as well as orthosteric or allosteric ligands, is mediated through GPCRs and their transducers, the G proteins and ?-arrestins.
