Responsibilities
• Act as Pilot in Command for research flights in various meteorological conditions• Assist with scheduling, budgeting, and planning activities for the aircraft• Prepare flight plans, logistics, and operations for research projects• Operate aircraft domestically and internationally• Attend training as required• Maintain records, prepare reports, and conduct correspondence• Communicate effectively with crew and passengers from diverse backgrounds• Embrace a culture of safety• Demonstrate teamwork and focus on customer service• Work on-site and provide vital customer support
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in aviation• Airline Transport Pilot certificate (multi-engine land)• 3,000 or more logged pilot hours• 2,000 hours minimum as pilot-in-command of multi-engine, fixed-wing aircraft• 500 hours minimum in fixed-wing turbine aircraft• First-class FAA medical certificate within the last twelve months• Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant• King Air experience preferred• Knowledge of FAA rules and regulations• Knowledge of weather and atmospheric conditions affecting flight operations• Ability to operate technical equipment and test aircraft instrumentation• Ability to recognize and report safety concerns• Ability to communicate effectively
