Genome Engineering & Stem Cell Center () is a premier fee-for-service core facility that supports hundreds of labs building research models using ever changing, cutting edge CRISPR and stem cell technologies. is under the McDonnell Genome Institute, affiliated with the Department of Genetics. Job Description Working Conditions This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be able to follow provided safety guidelines. Salary Range Base pay is commensurate with experience. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree. Ample experience with mammalian cell culture is highly preferred. Strong background in molecular biology is desirable. Stem cell experience is desirable. Strong skills in scientific and critical thinking as well as troubleshooting. Computer skills: proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as with a team. Ability to maintain good laboratory record. Required Qualifications Bachelorâ™s degree in a relevant field; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
Grade Salary Range
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
