Our newly established mouse developmental biology lab () at the Department of Cell & Developmental Biology at the University of Michigan Medical School, Ann Arbor, is seeking a:
Research Lab Specialist Associate/Intermediate/Senior to join our team in transitioning the lab from the University of Cologne, Germany, to Ann Arbor. Our research is centered on how signaling pathways impact on the cell cycle and cell division to regulate cell fate choices during embryonic and skin development .
The successful candidate will primarily manage our research laboratory in administration and experimentation in the Biomedical Sciences Research Building (BSRB) at 109 Zina Pitcher Pl.
In coordination with and support from our excellent technician and team in Germany:
Administration: Management, finances, shipping, ordering, inventories, protocols, and compliance Lab: Mouse colony, genotyping, cell culture, solutions, dissections and tissue processing Research Lab Specialist Associate: Bachelor's degree in biology or similar, lab experience (> 3 years) and excellent communication skills is required.
Research Lab Specialist Intermediate: Bachelor's degree in biology or similar, lab experience (4-5 years) and excellent communication skills is required.
Research Lab Specialist Senior: Bachelor's degree in biology or similar, lab experience (5-6 years) and excellent communication skills in required.
Lab management experience preferred.
This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
