The Research Associate - Floating Raceway Production position is a full-time role in the Aquaculture Program at Kentucky State University.The position involves 75% research and 25% extension work.The Research Associate will assist with research and extension activities in floating raceways.

Responsibilities
• Assisting in the planning, designing, and implementation of floating raceways.• Maintaining floating raceway systems.• Overseeing the operation of the Floating Raceway Research and Demonstration facility.• Providing facility tours and assisting stakeholders with aquaculture-related questions.• Publishing research in peer-reviewed journals.• Supervising undergraduate/graduate students and technicians.• Supporting and participating in extension/outreach activities.• Conducting other duties as required.
Requirements
• M.S. in Aquaculture, Agriculture, Biology, Biotechnology, or related field.• Knowledge of aquaculture, fish production, floating raceway design, construction, and management.• Experience with recirculating aquaculture systems.• Effective oral and writing skills.• Computer literacy.• Ability to work independently and cooperatively.• Initiative, resourcefulness, punctuality, and ability to work independently.• Organizational skills and professional demeanor.• Ability to work with diverse groups, from K-12 to senior citizens.• Valid driver's license and ability to travel (approximately 10%).
