Position Overview
We are looking to fill an hourly paid research assistant position for Fall 2023. The assist will be hired by faculty to work on the design and control of advanced battery systems. Job Description
100%- The assistant is expected to undertake the following responsibilities: Work individually and in team to do research and development through design, validation and experiments. Document the development results, and prepare project reports and papers. Attend team meetings, and report the progress to the faculty advisor on a regular basis. Required Qualifications
Evaluation of the following requirements will be made through descriptions of work and development experience, educational experiences in cover letter; record of relevant accomplishments and productivity addressed in a resume; and overall GPA and letter grade obtained. The required qualifications are: Enrolled in engineering PhD programs Strong communication and interpersonal skills Satisfactory academic performance and excellent research record Passion for research projects
**During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).**
