Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Remote PEMB Detailer to join our team. The PEMB Detailer will be responsible for producing accurate and comprehensive detail drawings for pre-engineered metal building structures using MBS (Metal Building Software) and other related software tools. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely and collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to deliver exceptional results to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interpret architectural and structural drawings to generate detailed shop drawings and erection plans for pre-engineered metal building projects.
* Utilize MBS software to create 3D models, connections, and detailing for structural steel components, roof, and wall systems.
* Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure alignment with project specifications, design requirements, and industry standards.
* Review and analyze project documentation, including contract documents, design drawings, and specifications, to identify potential issues and propose solutions.
* Generate material lists, bill of materials (BOM), and fabrication drawings for procurement and production purposes.
* Collaborate with fabricators, contractors, and clients to address design modifications, field changes, and other project requirements as needed.
* Maintain accurate records, documentation, and version control for all drawings and project files.
* Adhere to project schedules, deadlines, and quality standards to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
* Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and best practices to continuously improve detailing processes and workflows.
Qualifications:
* Proficiency in MBS (Metal Building Software) or similar software for PEMB detailing is required.
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field is preferred.
* Minimum of 3+ years of experience in detailing pre-engineered metal buildings or structural steel projects.
* Strong understanding of structural steel design principles, building codes, and construction practices.
* Excellent technical skills with the ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
* Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, quality, and efficiency in detailing work.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate remotely in a team environment.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Experience with other related software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla Structures) is a plus.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
