Seahawk Services in Pittsford, NY is looking for one remote medical assistant to join our team. We are located on 1050 Pittsford Victor Rd. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and hard-working. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical assistance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. As a Remote Medical Assistant, you will support healthcare providers by managing patient communications, scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and providing administrative support. Key Responsibilities: Conduct virtual patient check-ins and collect necessary medical history and information. Assist healthcare providers with telemedicine consultations by preparing patient information and ensuring smooth communication. Schedule and manage patient appointments, including follow-ups and referrals. Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR). Coordinate with pharmacies to manage prescription refills and address patient medication inquiries. Provide patient education and support, including answering questions and addressing concerns. Handle administrative tasks such as billing, coding, and insurance verification. Assist in managing patient flow and ensuring timely communication between patients and providers. Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations and guidelines. Participate in regular team meetings and ongoing training sessions. Qualifications: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a remote or telemedicine setting. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other healthcare software. Strong understanding of medical terminology, procedures, and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable with technology and adept at troubleshooting basic technical issues. Reliable internet connection and a quiet, private workspace.
