Responsibilities
• Complete and monitor ledgers through the Bankruptcy process for residential mortgage loans• Minimize potential losses and preserve lien-holder's interests• Adhere to investor timelines, company policies, and applicable laws and regulations• Execute and complete ledgers for various Bankruptcy processes• Verify/research borrower payment history and resolve payment posting discrepancies• Respond to inquiries from bankruptcy attorneys and internal departments• Handle escalated inquiries and provide feedback to management• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all activities
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience required• Bachelor's degree in related field in Accounting or Finance preferred• 3-5 years of bankruptcy experience in banking, finance, or mortgage industry• Minimum of 2 years' experience balancing ledgers• Knowledge of US state and federal laws and regulations• Strong attention to detail and accuracy• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
