In this role, you will be the primary production advocate for release readiness, acting as a key partner to the LEGO Fortnite dev team, and the centralized Release Management team.The Release Management team are the guardians of builds before they get to players. They are looked upon to identify and mitigate risks associated with player experience, communicate timelines clearly, and set a path forward for each milestone.In this role, you willWorking closely with dev production, QA, and Live Ops teams on identifying and resolving risks related to milestones and releasesDeveloping new practices and structures to better scale release management and stabilization processes across our Fortnite ecosystemOwning the scheduling, coordination, quality control, and external certification process across multiple platforms and/or productsKnowing the process for submitting builds to external partners inside and out, and is the expert on all things related to external build certificationWorking with QA Leads to establish and maintain bug triage process, determine and prioritize must-fix issues for release and work with appropriate team members to ensure bug fixes happen as plannedCoordinating internal and external release notes, known issues, and knowledge base updatesEnsuring releases have passed all required checks and approvals leading up to live deployment and effectively communicating approved exceptions to all necessary partiesWhat we're looking forStrong project management and communication skillsDemonstrated ability in right-sized process development and improvementExperience with build and release processes for Software or Games as a Service productFamiliar with Perforce, Jira, GrafanaExposure to platform certification processesTechnical orientation and a strong understanding of software developmentKnowledge of the game development process and exposure to working with shipped and live titlesEPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFEWe pay 100% for benefits for both employees and dependents and offer coverage for supplemental medical, dental, vision, critical illness, telemedicine, Life and AD&D, long term disability insurance as well as weekly indemnity (short term disability) and a retirement savings plan with a competitive employer match. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren't limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic's generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
