Position Summary:Provide transformational leadership, direction, and influence to achieve a positive Compliance and Safety culture and results through management commitment and employee ownership.

Essential Responsibilities:Develop and align facility process safety and compliance programs and strategies according to the business and plan, and ensure they comply with Local, State, and Federal regulatory requirements.Develop and maintain a formal compliance action tracking system to assure all compliance tasks are completed on time and prioritized according to risk (PSM, RMP, EHS, DOT, USCG, and CAL-ARP).Audit, process hazard analysis, and self-assessment programs are in place to support effective management of process safety risk.Manage programs for change management and Incident Investigation, including updating policies as appropriate, leading incident investigations, and ensuring all reporting and recordkeeping meets minimum regulatory requirements.Prepare environmental permits and agency reports as required.Ensure facility and agency required chemical security plans are in place and periodically audited for effectiveness.Oversee orientation programs for employees, drivers, contractors, and visitors related to on site risks and emergency action plan.Organize effective training drills with first responders to ensure a proper response to any unplanned site incident. Support customers as requested on emergency response plans and drills.Function as Safety Committee Chairman.Key contact for local Port Authority, Local Agencies and First Responders.Basic Candidate Qualifications:Bachelors degree in applicable field or 5 years EHS experience in chemical, manufacturing, or military industries.Working experience in an OSHA PSM or EPA RMP facility.Proficient in Google Workspace and MS Office Products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.Self-starter and effective communicator.Valid drivers license.Available for 24/7 emergency response.What would put you ahead:ASP/CSPDOT and USCG regulatory experience.Leadership and supervisory experience.Working experience and understanding of organizational behavior.
