Position Purpose:
As a Regrind Operator, your primary responsibility is to accurately sort plastics and operating regrind machinery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operates regrind machinery by feeding material into machine and making sure output is organized. Uses band saw to cut parts into smaller pieces for feeding. Cleans workstation using broom and dustpan, and/or compressed air. Utilize and understand ATI process and quality documentation. Record necessary information for output monitoring, quality verification, and production reporting. Accurately enter production job and payroll information into electronic Data Collection. Communicates "off-specification" conditions and documentation discrepancies to their Supervisor in a timely manner. Performs most standard operations and set-up of equipment under limited supervision. Verifying that we practice first in, first out (FIFO) with all Materials at all times. Ability to follow and practice safety procedures. Other duties and responsibilities to be assigned as needed. Experience, Qualifications, and Skillset Necessary: minimum of three months equipment or machine operation experience required. Read, write, and be conversant in the English language required. Ability to perform basic computerized time clock data entry required. Previous forklift experience desired. Ability to operate pallet jack and manual bander required. Team oriented and strong level of independence required. Physical Requirements and Work Environment: Noisy and warm regrind environment involves frequent standing and walking, and occasionally sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and balancing. Postures include stationary standing, pivoting, trunk bending, pushing/pulling, repetitive lifting, overhead reaching, climbing, squatting, all planes of cervical motion, gripping, pinching. Frequently lifts materials and pallets up to 40 pounds or carries and balances while working in a production environment.
