Registered Nurse Unit Manager (RN)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse Unit Manager to join the growing team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising all aspects of their assigned unit, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained, and providing leadership and support to their team of nurses.
Responsibilities:
* Supervise all nursing staff on the assigned unit, including but not limited to scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
* Assist in the establishment and implementation of employee policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state regulations and company standards.
* Serve as a mentor to less experienced nurses, providing clinical guidance, career advice, and support for professional development.
* Maintain and uphold the standards of care for the unit, ensuring that all residents receive quality, compassionate care tailored to their individual needs.
* Review resident records and monitor the quality of care provided, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
* Monitor overall care on the unit and review individual resident cases to ensure optimal outcomes and resident satisfaction.
* Address any questions or complaints brought forward by residents or their families, providing timely and compassionate resolution.
* Represent the interests of the unit to upper-level management, advocating for resources, support, and recognition as needed.
Requirements:
* Must hold a valid State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
* Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in Long-Term Care.
* Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience as a Charge Nurse.
* Strong computer skills, including proficiency in electronic health record systems.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members.
