Description: The Physician Substitute works closely with the Medical Director or Licensed Center Physician(s) while making any decisions which directly impact donor suitability. The Physician Substitute also provides medical oversight in screening, phlebotomy, and the plasma processing areas.
Qualifications: Current RN license in the state the Donor Center operates. Must be able to provide proof of graduation from a recognized educational program for health care workers that includes clinical training. Must have basic computer skills to include an understanding of word processing, spreadsheets and email. Strong organizational skills. Strict adherence to current good manufacturing procedures. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to interpret medical information to formulate appropriate actions. Available to work extended shifts and weekends. Occupational Exposure to blood borne pathogens. Ability to lift, pull, or tug up to 40lbs. Work requires extended periods of standing and bending. Ability to train others required. CPR certified or the ability to obtain certification.
