Responsibilities
• Perform and complete assessments in various settings.• Collaborate with providers and the health care team to ensure continuity of care.• Promote a therapeutic environment to ensure inmates are treated professionally, ethically, and tactfully.• Provide patient education and discharge planning.
Requirements
• Current, unrestricted RN license to practice in New Jersey.• At least 1 year of RN experience in correctional healthcare preferred.• A current CPR/BLS card with demonstrated cognitive skills is required.• Must meet security clearance requirements.
Key Skills Needed
• Excellent critical thinking and assessment skills.• Assertive, empathetic, and able to provide care objectively.• Microsoft proficient.• Experience in working with Electronic Health Records.
