Responsibilities
• Provides independent care to unit specific patient population; serves as clinical resource for others• Accountable to patients and families for care processes and outcomes• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care• Assists in team development and evaluation of Patient and Family Centered Care• Participates in collection of data related to outcomes• Assists in the development of clinical practice protocols and standards• Supports charge nurse decisions; performs charge role as needed• Serves as preceptor, coach, mentor to new nurses and students
Requirements
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland• One year nursing experience• Solid knowledge and clinical skills• Diploma in nursing or Associates Degree in nursing• Current BLS certification• Recent applicable clinical experience in a comparable setting• Advanced certifications may be required depending on the unit/department
