Registered Nurse

Atlantic Heath System is seeking an experienced OR NURSE to work full time at the Ambulatory Surgery Center in Rockaway, NJ. Required to work variable shifts and hours according to the surgical schedule. 
Responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients undergoing ambulatory surgery and other procedures including but not limited to; Colonoscopies, Ortho sports and minor trauma, Ortho hand, GYN, Laparoscopic, Plastics, Urology, General, Rectal, Podiatry, Pediatrics. Monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more.

Principal Accountabilities: 1. Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports in EPIC
2. Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
3. Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
4. Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
5. Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
6. Records patient vital signs and medical information.
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required:
1. Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in surgical nursing, ambulatory surgery center, hospital based. 
3. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse and BLS certification required.
4. BLS, ACLS , PALS certification. CNOR preferred
Preferred:
1. Masters degree in Nursing or related field.
