Responsible for establishing, ensuring and supervising the office staff as well as procedures to maintain quality services and efficient operations.
Service Line Specific Accountabilities: 1. Navigate patients through IV/PO therapies (experience with antineoplastic therapies a plus) through coordination intra and inter departmentally, patient teaching and education, authorization and communication.
2. Provide as needed coverage for the Oncology Nurse Navigator, who would typically coordinate care with homecare/hospice, CVC and palliative care.

7. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and calling for assistance from health care support personnel.
8. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols; medication administration and storage procedures; and controlled substance regulations.
9. Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
10. Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
11. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
12. Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
13. Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; and using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
14. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies.
15. Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team problem-solving methods.
16. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Required:
1. Valid NJ State RN License, active BLS
Preferred:
1. Oncology and Chemotherapy experience preferred.
2. Chemotherapy/biotherapy certifications preferred
