The 5 South Medical Department at St. Francis Hospital, an achieved Magnet® hospital, is a medical, cardiac and stroke unit with 33 beds. We are a medical unit specializing in cardiac and stroke care. This unit has a varied patient population mix, ranging in age and diagnoses to include cardiac and neuro diagnoses. Our team works together very well, we support professional development and have a great opportunity to increase our skills by caring for a mix of patient needs. As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for: Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
