Registered Dental Hygienist - Part-Time

We are looking for a compassionate and caring Dental Hygienist to join our work family to help treat our patients and promote good oral health practices in our Henderson, KY office. Our practice is open for patient care from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday thru Thursday. We are offering 4 full time hygiene days and are open to part time job sharing if necessary. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patients' teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures Take X-rays or dental impressions Assist dentist with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including screening for oral cancer) Maintain documentation and charts on each patient with Kodak SoftDent Software Monitor supplies and assist with our Recare Program Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Diploma in Dental Hygiene Valid licence to practice in Kentucky Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
