The Regional Team Resource Specialist (RTRS) provides leadership support, coaching, guidance, and supervision of assigned staff teams in the planning and implementation of all program service areas, including Child Development and Health Services, Family and Community partnerships, and Staff Development.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 2 years of experience in a Head Start program Associate's or Bachelor's degree in an education related field, such as Early Childhood Education, Social Services, Health and Nutrition. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Registration with the Office of Child Care Central Background Registry. Valid Oregon Driver's License and insured vehicle available for use on the job and satisfactory drive record for past three years. First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain. Pre-employment physical examination. This position is subject to MWVCAA's Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
Orientates and trains new employees. Monitors classroom sites on a regular basis to ensure supervision duties are being performed. Uses ChildPlus and Teaching Strategies Gold for collection, tracking, and reporting of child and family data and child file reviews. Participates in regular RTRS Meeting. Participates on interview panels and observations. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises all classroom staff at assigned site. Executes supervisory responsibilities in accordance with agency policies and applicable laws. Other responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to climb or balance. Occasionally required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regularly lift and/or move 10 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Physical ability to quickly evacuate children from the classroom in an emergency. Manual dexterity for handling office equipment. WORK ENVIRONMENT Mostly indoor work environment with frequent interruptions and demands. Working evenings and weekends when necessary. Occasional remote work from home. Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. Driving in all weather conditions. Potential risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other conditions. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as face coverings may be required.
