Regional Sales Manager – Southeast

Cantrip, Inc. is a hemp beverage brand. In partnership with manufacturing facilities, Cantrip produces flavorful, low-dose seltzers and other beverages for sale in the hemp cannabis markets. We are the social seltzer, creating great-tasting cannabis beverage products for people to enjoy together. Cantrip is a fast-paced, growing start-up in the hemp and cannabis space.

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for working to manage our sales program in the region, working directly with the COO, DSD and the sales representatives across the region to manage and improve the sales program. The successful candidate will have experience growing a sales team in a fast-growing consumer goods company, preferably with a background in beverage and the Southeastern United States. This role reports to the COO and will have a team of direct reports.

Job Duties:

·

Oversee multiple DSD partners with a focus on fostering relationships across all levels of the organization.

·

Lead the sales team in each territory to exceed goals by providing day-to-day coaching, deploying business solutions, and offering sales development through trade training days.

·

Manage key regional customer relationships (DSD partners and retailers), including communication of new item authorizations, category reviews, chain activation, performance tracking, and data utilization to improve overall performance.

·

Design and communicate execution expectations for all promotional activities at the store level.

·

Utilize weekly reporting to develop KPI's and growth opportunities.

·

Design and implement KPIs, incentives and programming with effective tracking mechanisms in place.

·

Prepare and deliver presentations balancing the company's priorities and customer needs, including menu concepts, new product introduction and promotions.

Must Haves:

·

Proven ability to drive an immediate impact on a sales team and growth in alignment with profit and brand goals.

·

Beverage sales and business acumen with the ability to scale a distributor and exceed volume expectations.

·

Commitment to representing the brand and company with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

·

Experience opening accounts, managing large and small format account bases, and negotiating and closing deals.

·

A desire to succeed, passion for brand building, and a strong work ethic with the ability to adapt to the fast-paced needs of the Sales team.

·

Dependable, decisive, and highly organized with the ability to manage competing responsibilities and prioritize opportunities.

·

Demonstrated ability to interface with key stakeholders across all levels, internally and externally,

·

Proactive, detail-oriented, and resourceful, with a focus on doing it right vs. getting it done.

·

Geographic knowledge of respective territory.

Qualifications & Experience:

·

Bachelor's degree or MBA preferred

·

5+ years of sales management experience

·

Experience managing DSD, key partners, and leading the sales team

·

Team player accustomed to wearing many hats

·

Previous experience in beverage or CPG sales preferred

·

Highly motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

·

Familiarity and aptitude with Gsuite, Microsoft Office, and VIP, iDig + KARMA.

·

Detailed oriented and extremely organized.

·

Strong communicator who can provide exceptional customer service and react quickly to identify and solve problems.

·

Must be able to pass a background check;

·

Must be 21+.

Additional Requirements

·

Travel requirement across Southeastern United States.

·

Some lifting and the movement of moderate loads; 50-pound lifting requirements.

·

Willingness to workoutside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, basede on business demands.

·

The ability to sit, stand, walk, and type for long periods of time.
