The Regional Director of Operations will have full financial responsibility for assigned group of hotels.Required Experience and Education:Minimum five years of experience in hotels as General ManagerMinimum ten years of progressive experience in hospitality or five years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or eight years of experience with an Associates degreeProficient in Microsoft Office or similar computer applicationsPreferred Experience and Education:Experience in multi-unit leadershipBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related majorExperience as General Manager with specific brands in assigned regionTravel: Up to 75% travel requirement.Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to travel frequently and occasionally fill in as interim General Manager with minimal notice.Physical: Frequent sitting, standing, and moving about the facilities. Handling objects, products and equipment. Using keyboards and other office computer equipment. Occasionally push, pull and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must observe details at close range.Other: Must speak English fluently. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Mathematical skills include basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages and variances. Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are often used. Ability to effectively multi-task.Promotes company policies and philosophies to team members and guests through direct and indirect interactionComplete financial oversight of assigned hotels: P&L, Capex, Forecasting and BudgetingEnsure QA compliance where applicable and approving action plans generated by GMAct as liaison between corporate office, ownership, brand and other disciplines such as Sales, Marketing and Revenue, Accounting, Facilities, and Human ResourcesAct as a role model and provide guidance on company cultureSelects, develops, manages, and leads management teamsDevelops, guides, and implements policies, procedures and systems to improve operationsDevelops annual business plans with GMs and other disciplinesAble to effectively articulate and present Raines Co. culture, vision and valuesTake initiative and act proactively to address and resolve issues or opportunities without supervisionManages multiple projects and effectively prioritizes tasks, responsibilities, and goalsUses goals to guide actions and create action plansOrganizes and schedules people and tasksEnsure all reporting is submitted in accordance with contractual requirementsRecruit, train, and provide guidance and support to GM'sRecommend and/or initiate salary, disciplinary, or other staffing/human resources-related actions in accordance with Company rules and policiesEnsure all staff is properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functionsDevelopment, implementation and monitoring of financial and operational plans for the hotel which support the overall objectives of the companyDevelop, manage, and foster positive owner relationships and provide ongoing information and status reportsMake recommendations for capital improvements to enhance the assets of the company and brand loyaltyMaintain and uphold standards of brand and/or Raines Co.
