We thrive on challenges and believe in fair compensation for dedication, detail, and professionalism.Responsibilities:Rebuild plate and frame heat exchangersTest, maintain, and evaluate equipment performance using instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, pyrometers, and pressure gaugesTest and calibrate ammonia equipmentMaintain tools and machinery to ensure they are kept in safe and usable conditionMaintains records of accurate preventive maintenanceAbility to quickly and efficiently understand and organize information necessary to make quick decisionsAdhere to company workplace standards by keeping work area cleanAbility to work overtime to meet deadlines or to respond to emergencies as neededCompliance with all Health and Safety regulations and company requirementsKeeping abreast of new developments in refrigeration technology to assess their potential application to current and future projectsQualifications:Ability to determine root cause, troubleshoot and correct technical issues using problem-solving techniques in a timely and effective mannerPrevious experience with industrial ammonia refrigeration systems required, or Freon systemsExcellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skillsMust be able to work well within a team but also motivated when working as an individualPrompt, punctual and reliable attendance is an essential function of this positionExcellent interpersonal, communication skills and customer service skillsAble to live and work in a multicultural environmentAbout Company:SMSI is dedicated to providing the highest quality mechanical services performed in an honest, dependable, and efficient manner.
