Responsibilities
• Coordinate the referral management process• Support continuity of patient care from primary to tertiary needs• Represent VMMC during initial phone contact• Provide patients with appointments and information• Deliver excellent customer service• Maintain organization and attention to detail• Meet and exceed service components• Demonstrate basic computer and telephone skills• Work in a team based environment• Be familiar with medical terminology and proficient in Microsoft Office
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED• 6 months of healthcare, office or customer service experience• Excellent customer service and communication skills• Knowledge of scheduling parameters, insurance concepts, and patient registration software• Computer and telephone skills• Ability to work in a team and be flexible• Familiarity with medical terminology• Proficient in Microsoft Office
