Red Seal Millwright Or Registered Millwright Apprentice

This position is located at our Penhorwood Site which is located approximately70km west of Timmins towards Foleyet and requires daily travel for scheduled shifts.POSITION OBJECTIVE:Works under limited supervision and according to established Federal and Provincial regulations, and Company prescribed work procedures and safety policies; installs, inspects, adjusts, maintains, and repairs industrial machinery and equipment.Preferred candidate for this position will have an Ontario College and Trades Certificate with a minimum of 2000 registered hours towards Red Seal certification.The successful candidate will complete all of the Millwright Apprenticeship hours and testing in a timely manner as per the Magris Talc Apprenticeship Agreement.JOB SUMMARY:Reading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Installing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools. Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions, adjusting machinery, and repairing or replacing defective parts. Operating machine tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machineries. Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications, and installations. Sharpening and maintaining machine tools. Participating in the PM program on all equipment for continuous improvement of all machines. Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation. Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machineries. Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances. Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area. Performing other related duties as required.OTHER IMPORTANT FUNCTIONS:Registered Millwright Apprentice (433A) with at least 2,000 registered hours. Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment. Experience using PLC's is an asset. Experience of MiG and Stick welding. Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines. Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times. Ability to work in a team environment. Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
