Experience may substitute for education up to four (4) years. Licenses or Certifications: Valid Texas Class "C" Driver's License Notes to Applicants Position Overview: Under the direction of the EMS Recruitment Program Manager, the Recruitment Coordinator will be tasked with identifying and recruiting qualified applicantsfor EMS Field and EMS Communications positions for Austin-Travis County EMS. The person(s) selected for this position will be responsible for the full cycle recruitment process to include attending job fairs, collaborating closely with the EMS Ambassadors program, managing swag inventory, and community outreach. Additionally, the Recruitment Coordinator will assist with social media and marketing for recruitment purposes as need. About EMS : The Emergency Medical Services department is responsible for managing critical time-sensitive life-threatening emergencies. While most of the assistance EMS gives to the community is medical in nature, everything we do is about service: service to our patients, their families and loved ones; service to our community; and service to the people who make up Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services. To be considered for a driving position, applicants cannot have more than three moving violations or a total of six Driver Record Evaluation points within a period of thirty-six (36) months. Pay Range $27.16 - $32.87 per hour Hours Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. May be required to work evenings or weekends based on business needs. Experience with diversity and inclusion pertaining to recruitment and retention. Experience making fair decisions on qualifying and disqualifying applicants for the positions available. Ability to travel to more than one work location, will be required to travel state-wide to various career and community events. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems or Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) such as ICIMS, Banner, or any other similar Applicant Tracking system or HRIS. Duties, Functions and Responsibilities Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned. Identifies individuals who meet the optimal criteria for employment and attracts/recruits them for employment. Develops long-term communication plans and recruitment strategies to achieve optimal staffing levels. Establishes working relationships with department education programs, placement agencies, colleges, technical schools and other entities with the objective of increasing access to qualified applicants. May serve as department representative at recruitment events, job fairs, etc. Writes advertisements for newspapers, professional journals, internet websites, and other media. Provide regular releases on various social media sites in order to promote recruiting efforts. Update, revise, and manage the recruiting units' internet presence. Develop long-term marketing plans, and conduct market research to establish where needs are. Develop promotional/advertising media in various formats to include videos, pamphlets, fliers, and posters. Coordinates hiring processes and testing/evaluation sessions, and sets up and coordinates employment interviews. May recommend qualified applicants to recruiting and/or executive staff. Keeps informed of developments in such areas as wages and salaries, employee benefits, City of Austin personnel practices and departmental needs.
