About Us: Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority serves the social, recreational, health, and educational needs of the residents of Howell and the surrounding areas. Our Programs include the Howell Senior Center, serving adults aged 50 and beyond, and also the Howell Teen Center, serving the needs of local teens.
The Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority established a viable strategy toaddress the needs of children who are not able to participate in our programs because of economic conditions. The Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority board of trustees adopted a scholarship policy that is designed to provide financial assistance to children who wish to experience and participate in our recreational activities and programs. So that we can serve as many individuals as possible that live in the City of Howell
Responsibilities: Perform surveys to gauge the needs and interests of the community
Reach out to instructors or facilitators to run activities
Schedule class times and post the information at the community center
Book the necessary venues for activities
Receive feedback and suggestions from community members to improve activities
Requirements: A high school qualification or equivalent
Prior experience in event planning or administration
Excellent organization skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent computer literacy skills
Bonus Points: Organize activities for individuals and groups.
Sources instructors for various activities and schedules class times.
