The Recreation Activities Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the coordinators planning, organizing, and executing special events and activities within the District. This position involves working closely with the recreation coordinators and other team members to create memorable experiences for our community members.
Responsibilities Include and not limited to:
-Assist in planning and coordinating special events, including camp games, community celebrations, and various programs.
-Set up event spaces, arrange equipment, and ensure all necessary supplies are available.
-Greet participants, answer questions, and provide information about the current and upcoming events.
-Help facilitate games, contests, and interactive activities during events.
-Collaborate with vendors, performers, and volunteers to ensure smooth event execution.
-Assist with event logistics, such as registration, ticket sales, and crowd management.
-Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all attendees.
-Assist in post-event cleanup and evaluation.

Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing event dynamics. Enthusiasm for creating enjoyable experiences for participants. Basic knowledge of recreational activities and event planning. Physical stamina to set up and move event equipment as needed. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to maintain professional work-related practices including safety, alertness, dependability, responsibility, initiative, good judgment, cleanliness, and ability to work with all ages. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Criminal background check required.
