Position Details:
This position works 52 weeks per year. It is scheduled 5 days per week at 8 hours per day. The position will begin the first week of June 2024.

Annual, incremental pay increases are given for each year of service with the EVSC in this role if an employee has worked at least 120 days in a school year. New employees will begin on year 1.

EVSC offers four (4) Anthem medical insurance plans. Full medical, dental and vision insurance are provided with this position. Employees may pay the additional cost to add family members. Employees enrolled in an EVSC medical insurance plan are eligible to use any of the three EVSC Health & Wellness Centers. The health clinics provide primary care services, generic prescription medications, physicals, health screenings, and labs; all at NO COST to the employee or covered family member.

EVSC employees have access to the EVSC Wee Care Learning Centers. The Wee Care program provides a quality early learning experience for employees' children as young as six weeks through age five at a special employee rate.

This position will automatically be enrolled in the Public Employees' Retirement Fund (PERF) through the state of Indiana, which includes a defined benefit (Pension) as well as an Annuity Savings Account (ASA). Employees may also participate in a 403(b) Plan. Enrolling in the 403(b) plan allows employees to save for their retirement by making a pre-tax salary deferral contributions to the Plan.

Eligible employees may enroll in the EVSC group life insurance and long term disability plans. EVSC also offers a variety of voluntary insurance products through American Fidelity.

EVSC offers a free Employee Assistance Program (EAP). It is a confidential, voluntary service that provides professional counseling and referral services designed to help employees and their family members with personal, job or family-related matters.

SUMMARY:
Assist administration building visitors with inquiries and direct them to the appropriate office while providing support to the Human Resources department and other administration building departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
Greet and assist visitors to the administration building and direct them to the appropriate office.
Process and distribute incoming school mail, U.S. mail, and deliveries addressed to the administration building.
Process outgoing U.S. mail, Fed-X, and certified mail for the administration building, as well as bulk mail for the district.
Answer the EVSC main phone line and assist the public with telephone inquiries, directing them to the appropriate office or school.
Assist employees in the Human Resources department with projects and data entry as needed.
Manage the Facilities Use spreadsheet in coordination with the Supportive Services Department and communicates the approval/denial of facility usage to the community and/or EVSC employees. Familiar with all aspects of the rental guidelines to provide proper communication with renters.
Receive accident reports for the corporation and upload information to the proper files.
Upload monthly safety reports and maintain spreadsheet.
Provide clerical assistance in processing expulsions and schedule hearings as needed.
Schedule and maintain Administration Building rooms' calendars.
Update display case in the lobby with appropriate district information.
Communicate with vendors (newspapers, USPO, FedEx, UPS, DataMail, Pepsi, etc.) and community when the Administration Building is closed.
Upload the weekly calendar to the communication board in the lobby.
Act as backup to the Administrative Assistant in Human Resources.
Maintain EVSC telephone directories.
Oversee all aspects of the Employee Discount Program. Recruit companies to provide discounts to EVSC employees. Maintain a log of all participating companies. Upload monthly flyers, discounts, etc. to the Connect web page.
Provide assistance to other departments in the Administration building as needed.
Maintain regular attendance and ensures that the front desk is covered at all times.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and up to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the board of school trustees.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional
