Job Overview This is a skilled position requiring the individual to manage a variety of functions related to the Transportation/Logistic operations within Jack B Parson Co. The individual must have a strong understanding of the Ready Mix business, including batching, Ready mix Deliveries, Command Track and Trackit experience a plus. The Shipper will be responsible for maintaining efficient logistic operations. Position reports to the Dispatch Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare & direct drivers daily activities Manage Same Day Orders for various project and operations Must be customer service oriented, both internally and externally Check and review all orders assigned before they are shipped Identify Logistic Opportunities Coordinate deliveries with company truck drivers to ensure timely delivery of materials to customers Maintain professional demeanor in stressful conditions Be able and willing to work flexible hours including overtime Reliable attendance is essential to performance in this role Responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and co-workers Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
