Rd Shift Process Technician

SMV Recruiting has an immediate opening for experienced Process Technicians in Concord, NC. We are looking for someone for the plastic exstrusion team. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience working in plastic extrusion on a manufacturing plant floor with automation. This is a direct hire role and our client offers great benefits including healthcare, vacation and an extremely competitive 401k program. We are currently looking to hire for all shifts.
Responsibilities: Troubleshoot automated and plastic extrusion equipment Adjust machine parameters to achieve optimal output and quality Write recipe/formula for plastic end products (hold times, plasticizers, parts, etc.) Repair equipment Perform quality control checks Coordinate with maintenance staff to address machine malfunctions Perform preventative maintenance on injection molding machines Assist as needed with mold changes, set-ups, tooling problems and work process Requirements: 3-5 years of manufacturing experience 2+ years of plastic extrusion experience 2+ years of hard automation/highly customized machines (grippers, air cylinders, slides) strongly desired Be familiar with plastic defects (blush, short shots, etc.) Experience writing requirements from scratch Forklift certification Must have a very high mechanical aptitude Understanding of PLC equipment Ability to troubleshoot electrical equipment using a multimeter Software experience with ASI System and NCR database Able to stand the majority of the work day, perform repetitive job functions and manual dexterity and lift 50lbs
