Responsibilities
• Maintain personal tools and perform repairs to customer equipment• Lubricate railcars and record repairs• Assist in prepping railcars, inspect and open/close railcar doors• Perform preventive maintenance inspections/repairs• Operate mechanical equipment and maintain equipment accountability• Perform housekeeping duties• Ability to work mandatory overtime hours• Assist in raising and lowering hinged railcar decks (for Multi-Level Railcars)• Inspect, repair, install, and remove bridge plates (for Multi-Level Railcars)
Requirements
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent• Mechanical aptitude• Valid state driver's license• AWS certification for Senior Repairmen• Meet Conditions of Employment policy requirements
