This position is for a commercial utility body Racks Technician requiring some MIG welding skills working in the Racks Department of Harbor Truck & Van. This position offers competitive wages, progressive benefits including health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits. In addition, our PATH FORWARD permits advancement up the pay scale ladder. The key responsibility is to weld and cut material to assemble good quality racks that will be mounted onto commercial utility vehicles.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Weld metals according to customer or employer requirements. Ensure high safety measures while working such as wearing protective gear for the face and body. Examine the equipment after welding and advise Team lead/Manager of defects. Plan/set up of welding operations before beginning.
