We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Quality Supervisor within our qualityteam to help support our bedding business. As a Quality Supervisor you will have the opportunity to manage quality operations, including planning, organizing, and executing activities to drive production and customer improvements.
So, what will you be doing as a Quality Supervisor? Lead quality assurance of products Establish inspection protocols and identify/record problems relating to the product, process, or quality system Determine disposition of nonconforming product and maintain nonconforming log Collaborate cross functionally to ensure product compliance and conformity Supervise, train, direct, and evaluate work activity of all Quality Assurance employees Maintain quality inspection equipment Assist management with KPI definitions Implement and assure compliance with LP9000:2011 Management System To be successful in this role, you'll need: 3 years relevant Quality experience in manufacturing environment Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience 1 year supervising a team of quality inspectors Knowledge of six sigma methodology Keep communication skills - both written and verbal Strong analytical skills and application of seven (7) QC tools, PDCA, and DMAIC Microsoft Office Suite proficiency Ability to maintain a cooperative attitude and good interpersonal skills Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings Effectively apply knowledge in operational troubleshooting What to Do Next
