DescriptionPosition at Sumitomo Electric Carbide, Inc. Job Duties and Responsibilities Under management guidance, schedules work, maintain processes and procedures for inspection and quality control.
Responsible for productivity and quality management to the extent that it falls within department control.
Recommends equipment upgrades, staffing adjustments, process modifications and may recommend product or service modifications.
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements: High school diploma or its equivalent
Associate's degree preferred
Specialized training in supervision
Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, operations
Knowledge of engineering concepts and procedures
Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills
5+ years of job related training and experience
Work Environment: Work inwell-lit machine shop with moderate noise. Staff member
work will be mostly completed while standing. Occasional lifting and working inside of machines in necessary. Some work in standard office environment.
