JOB SUMMARY This role is responsible for being data driven by analyzing data from all departments in a fulfillment and distribution center to implement changes for increasing organizational performance that include processes, systems, and structure for quality, safety and compliance. Manage the day-to-day activities of the Quality, Safety & Sanitation department. Reporting to the Divisional Manager, this role will be the single point of contact for all continuous improvement initiatives.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Provide coaching, mentoring and leadership to drive accountability and engagement. Manage quality, safety and sanitation teams. Ability to operate inventory warehouse management system(s) effectively, including, but not limited to, locating items, finalizing BOMs, and tracking statuses. Use web-based quality management system to monitor quality inspections across all departments. Track, maintain, and report KPIs to senior management teams annually. Manage corrective action / preventative action programs. Manage accident / incident reporting within compliance of OSHA standards. Lead cross- departmental safety meetings. Identify cross-departmental efficiency improvements. Ensure all facilities and team members are complying with laws and regulations, certifications, and registrations required. Conduct required internal process and procedural audits. Single point of contact to lead the business through any customer or third-party external audits. Use data to implement changes necessary to improve processes. Create and conduct safety training for team members. on all processes and procedures; manage training programs in online portal Employee onboarding; facilitate cross-training opportunities. Asset management, including production equipment and forklifts. Manage regulatory calendar and schedule services with external vendors as required. Functional duties, including but not limited to, overseeing document retention program, creating purchase orders, ordering office supplies, and ordering production supplies / equipment as needed. Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety rules. Ability to work a flexible schedule if necessary. Attendance is an essential function of the role. OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBLITIES Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Required High School Diploma or equivalent combined education and years of experience 2 years people and process management experience. OSHA safety requirements & Good Manufacturing Practice (GMPs) requirements. Must have good English written and verbal communication skills. Good arithmetic skills are required. General proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Preferred Bachelor's Degree FDA sanitation process & protocols Bilingual in English and Spanish Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certifications and experience REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS There are not any licenses or certifications required.
