Quality Manager

The ideal candidate is expected to proactively oversee the Quality Department, and also identify where processes can be adapted and optimized to ensure cost-effectiveness and to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with legislation and customer specifications such as IATF 16949.

Job Duties
Plan, organize, schedule, and maintain the activities of the QA Department.
Establish quality goals and objectives, ensure these goals are met on schedule.
Confidently lead the Quality Management System as the IATF 16949 Management Representative.
Identify process, equipment and personnel improvements with documentation / justification supporting the recommendations.
Ensure that high standards of quality are consistently practiced.
Compliance to regulatory, legislative and customer requirements are met.
Coordinate the development and preparation of quality documentation to support APQP, corrective actions, continuous improvement, and plant metrics.
Connect with internal employees regarding company quality policies and problem solving
Respond to customer complaints in a professional manner.
Complete all appropriate legal documentation pertaining to Quality.
Manage Department costs and make financial projections.

Experience and Qualifications
Post-Secondary Education in Administration, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of five years' experience in manufacturing
Minimum of five years' experience in a supervisory role
ASQ Certification.
Advanced knowledge of machine capability requirements and SPC tools.
Previously trained in the ISO IATF 16949 quality management systems, internal auditing.
Knowledge and execution experience of APQP, MSA, PPAP, SPC, FMEA.
Knowledge of AIAG and customer tools.
Strong computer skills including outlook, word and excel spreadsheets.
Strong analytical skills, able to interpret charts and metrics.
