Job summary
This position is responsible for managing interns and the continuous improvement project action item listThe Quality Manager works closely with GPI Sales and CTS teams and serves as the main liaison between customers and the mill production teamThey are responsible for researching and responding to customer claims, managing trial planning, and leading Kepner Tregoe events

Responsibilities
• Research and respond to customer claims in a timely manner• Participate in customer visits as needed• Provide direction for the internship program/interns• Create and manage trial planning within the mill• Regularly review and maintain FDA approved chemical list• Lead Kepner Tregoe events• Attend and participate in department meetings• Manage job assignments and training plans• Participate in lab activities and reporting• Have frequent interaction with GPI Sales and Corporate Customer Technical Services• Complete Six Sigma projects and solve problems utilizing lean methodology• Manage Technical Lab activities• Fulfill other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Experience within a test lab environment• Safety-First mindset• Willingness to travel to customers• Proficiency in Microsoft Office• Participation in On-call/weekend duty rotation• Knowledge of printing press runnability• Familiarity with SAP• Excellent organizational skills• Demonstrated ability to lead people• Balanced results in safety, quality, productivity, cost control, and employee relations• Quality orientation and attention to detail• Strong interpersonal and communication skills• Ability to manage multiple priorities• Ability to function as a team member and individual contributor• Six Sigma Green or Black belt training is a plus
