Job Description:
As a Quality Engineering Co-Op at BW Papersystems, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Working closely with our Quality Engineering team, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and improvement of quality systems to ensure the delivery of high-quality products to our customers. This position is an excellent opportunity for a student pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field to apply classroom knowledge to real-world manufacturing scenarios.
Duration:
This Electrical Engineering Co-Op position is a 6-month opportunity. The term for this role is
June 2024 – December 2024.

Opportunity available in Baltimore, MD.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control Support:
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes and procedures.
Conduct inspections and testing of products to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Continuous Improvement:
Collaborate with the Quality Engineering team to identify areas for process improvement.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
Data Analysis:
Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Generate reports and present findings to the Quality Engineering team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to address quality issues.
Participate in project teams to ensure quality considerations are integrated into product development.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of quality control activities.
Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Current enrollment in an engineering program.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
