Quality Assurance Tech

We have an immediate need for an experienced Q.A. Tech for a commercial bakery in the city of Fullerton. The position is a temp to hire and starting pay is $20.00
Schedule: SUN/MON 5:00AM-1:30PM FRI/SAT OFF Basic Requirements: Pass a background check. Pass a drug test. Able to work weekends, holidays, overtime, (possibly 6 days a week), the bakery is busy right now. Provide own slip-resistant shoes. Position Responsibilities: To provide constant and consistent quality control presence in the production areas. Operates under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Manager. Primary Objectives: Safety of the workforce. Development of a superior workforce. Good interpersonal skills will be the keys to success. Personal ongoing development. Work Experience Requirements for This Role: Experience in food service, processing, or distribution environment preferred. Experience with Food safety, GMPs, quality troubleshooting and QA process improving skills preferred. HACCP plan knowledge is preferred, and formal HACCP training/certification is helpful. Essential for Role Function: Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize required. Critical thinking and strong analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong math and computer aptitude. Able to stand, walk, stoop, and bent during the shift. Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred. Abilities: Work well in a fast-paced, ever-changing and sometimes intense atmosphere. Job Description: Perform daily operational line checks using scale, calipers and thermometers. Monitor quality attributes of manufactured items according to customer specifications. Perform daily operational line checks using scale, thermometers and any other tools as necessary. Monitor Good Manufacturing Practices in production. Maintain finished product quality testing. Manage all process controls for quality and food safety. Provide technical support to fellow members of the company as needed. Anything else deemed necessary by senior management in this area of operations. In the absence of the QC Technician, the QA Coordinator or QA/QC Manager will be responsible to fulfill job duties in their absence.
