Quality Assurance Specialist
Vanguard Renewables is the premier anaerobic digester developer/owner/operator in the United States. Our closed-loop anaerobic digestion process converts organic waste and cow manure into green electricity or renewable natural gas as well as other related "value-added" products. Our head office is in Weston Massachusetts, and we are funded by institutional capital partners. We currently have over twenty projects in development operating in over thirteen States. We have a plan to continue to aggressively expand into other domestic markets.
The Quality Assurance Specialist has primary responsibility for the oversight and coordination of all Quality Assurance practices of a POD under construction in accordance with the design and specification parameters.
Responsibilities
Ensure that standards and safety regulations are observed. Ability to travel up to 20%. Support in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels. Investigate reports of product quality issues and ensure resolution in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements. Develop and update procedures for capture, investigation, and documentation. Monitor risk-management procedures, maintain problem logs, and report issues to leadership. Provide training and support to quality assurance team members that cover systems, policies, procedures, and core processes. Develop training materials and operating manuals. Responsible for site safety audits Ensuring JSA compliance Verifying subcontractor documentation; lift plans, TRIR, operator qualifications, and safety plans Document nonconformance. Provide insight and direction on emergency response plans prior to mobilization to ensure they are realistic and achievable. Understanding project specifications. Analyze impacts on the environment. Support for developing project document control programs. Risk identification, risk analysis, recovery planning. Support in project pre-planning & development. Skills and Qualifications 3-5 years of QA/QC or safety experience. Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws. Proven ability to understand projects according to outlined quality specifications and safety requirements. Full understanding of project reporting. Full understanding of procurement process & management. Basic understanding of contract language. Full understanding of Environmental Compliance Plan. Basic ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects at once. Basic understanding of consequences of all project performance. Basic schedule development and maintenance. Experience in contract compliance. Experience in document control program development and execution. Experience in blueprint & specification reading. Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle. Advanced leadership skills, excellent communicator, negotiator, and motivator. Well Organized Very Resourceful Self-Motivated.
