Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD) is a name in the natural gas industry that has become synonymous with quality design and construction, competitive pricing, and on time delivery of processing, treating, and compression facilities. This enables clients to have a ''one stop shop'' for the overall project, providing increased efficiency and avoiding potential interface problems. The jobsite located in Larose, LA has an opening for a QC Tech. What You Will Do In Your Role Responsibilities for a QC Tech include: Team Leader: Effectively work with others to implement improvements to quality and/or performance. Construction Quality Control:
• Confirming only approved welders, procedures, materials etc. are being used in construction.
Job is performed professionally, safely and without bias. Weld and heat mapping. Document Control: Document inspection results by completing reports/logs and inputting data into OPD's Construction Management System (CMS). Ensuring pressure test documentation is being built per OPD and client specifications. We expect all field employees to: Serve as an accountable leader of Safety and Environmental Concerns at Field Sites. Actively participate in a strong safety culture Recognize safety hazards and risks Participate in onsite safety meetings Follow OPD and client safety policies and procedures Be aware of changing conditions on an active jobsite Be on time to the jobsite each day ready for work Display a positive attitude and be able to work in a team environment Some physical demands of being a QC Tech include: Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions including extreme heat and humidity, extreme cold, and high elevations. Standing for extended periods of time up to 11 hours per day. Moving the entire body. Considerable use of arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending on a regular basis. Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects and/or tools. The Experience You Will Bring Requirements: Basic Requirements: 1+ years of experience in doc control for QC in the Oil & Gas Industry. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English. Proven ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers. Basic Computer Skills - able to use Outlook and Teams for emails and meetings. Willing to travel 100% of the time to locations that could be outside the Houston area. What Will Put You Ahead Preferred Requirements: 5+ years of experience in doc control for QC in the Oil & Gas Industry. Bluebeam experience, weld, heat, etc. mapping.
