Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team. As a Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the procurement of goods and services within the company. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a proven track record in procurement.

Responsibilities
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery of goods and services• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships with vendors• Review and analyze purchase requisitions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies• Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and identify cost-saving opportunities• Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase orders to maintain optimal stock levels• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues or discrepancies• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels• Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures• Stay informed about changes in regulations and laws governing procurement practices
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role• Strong negotiation and communication skills• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively• Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry standards
