Location:    2001 Fifth St, Silvis, IL – Rock Island County Salary:        $3,976.00 to $6,757.00 monthly Overview: 
Serves as the assistant to the Facility Manager; plans, supervises, coordinates and evaluates the activities of facility staff engaged in providing service to the public; serves in absence of the Facility Manager; provides assistance to Facility Manager in the accounting, auditing and depositing of all monies collected; performs cashier functions; reviews and completes motor vehicle title and registration applications; attends meetings; assists Facility Manager in preparation and submittal of reports; monitors the maintenance and cleanliness of facility. Duties and Responsibilities: Supervises facility staff engaged in the preparation of forms necessary to obtain drivers license or vehicle services. Supervises facility staff engaged in collecting and recording proper fees using standard bookkeeping methods and procedures. Supervises facility staff engaged in administering written, oral, or vision tests necessary to obtain drivers license. Supervises facility staff engaged in administering performance examinations necessary to obtain a drivers license. Assigns staff to appointed workstations; monitors workflow to resolve problems and avoid bottlenecks; evaluates subordinate performance, initiates disciplinary measures, resolves employee grievances and approves leave time for subordinate staff. Performs other duties as required or assigned. Specific Skills: Requires thorough knowledge of the Illinois Vehicle Code as it relates to driving privileges or motor vehicle processes. Requires working knowledge of office methods, procedures and practices. Requires working knowledge of business English, spelling and commercial arithmetic. Requires ability to plan, assign, supervise and evaluate drivers and motor vehicle facility staff. Requires ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Requires ability to deal tactfully with the general public and to develop satisfactory working relationships with staff. Requires possession of a valid Illinois driver's license and a willingness to travel in the performance of assigned duties. Education and Work Experience:
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of high school AND three (3) years of general work experience, preferably with at least one year in a facility .
