About the Team: The Global Public Policy team's work spans a broad and diverse range of functions and work-streams, including government affairs and government relations; product, policy, and issue area expertise; risk and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships; and philanthropy. The mission of the Global Public Policy team is to prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok products and to promote a political, legislative, and regulatory environment that supports growth and innovation for our business. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join TikTok's AMS Public Policy team as the Advocacy and Engagement Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for activating and mobilizing our creator and user communities, and leveraging these relationships to advance core Public Policy interests. Responsibilities: Engage and mobilize creator and user communities on the platform. Lead community engagement efforts with specific target communities. Understand the distinct needs and perspectives of each community and tailor engagement strategies accordingly. Identify key events and functions for participation, ensuring representation from the user community. Work closely with the Government Relations (GR) team, Impact Lead, and Advocacy & Engagement Lead to ensure strategic alignment. Build and maintain relationships with creators and community leaders. Cultivate strong community ties with key user groups through events, content strategy office hours, webinars, and other relationship-building efforts. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align partnership activities with overall objectives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Policy, Political Science, Business Administration) or equivalent practical experience Deep understanding of politics and campaigns Strong understanding of advocacy and engagement strategies Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain relationships with external partners Passion for social impact, public policy, and storytelling to drive positive change Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the United States for various functions, meetups, and events Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed, for event participation and campaign activities TikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
