Responsibilities What you'll be challenged to do: TranSystems is seeking a Public Involvement Specialist – Intern with an entrepreneurial spirit, creating a vision for growth in their personal practice while contributing to the growth of the Transportation Planning and Engineering practice. This key position will be responsible for assisting a wide variety of projects tasks related to public involvement related to corridor planning, bicycle and pedestrian planning, transit planning, land use planning, NEPA/SEPA projects, and aviation projects.
Transportation Planning, NEPA, SEPA, or Corridor StudiesStrong problem-solving abilities and attention to detailDevelop cartographic products Assist with preparation of items for project public meetingsAssist with social media strategies on various platformsCoordinate and participate in public meetings and design charettesAssist with newsletters, brochures, postcards, mailing listAssist with outreach efforts for projects and community eventsAdditional Responsibilities: Candidate may assist in the preparation of reports, studies, plans, impact analyses, permit applications and other planning and engineering documentsExperience in Environmental, Engineering and/or Transportation Planning disciplines preferred Qualifications What you bring to our firm: Candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geography, GIS, Planning, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related program.
